Jen is the Cross Endowed Chair in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and a Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, USA.
Her areas of focus with research and public speaking center on evidence-informed teaching and learning, particularly in the areas of teaching in the time of generative artificial intelligence, building trust in the classroom, transparent teaching, and student motivation.
Jennifer is also the owner of Friberg Higher Education Consulting, LLC., a group that specializes in the development of workshops, educational development programs, and consultancy services on the topics of evidence-informed teaching and learning, the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), and accreditation for CSD programs.
Away from work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, children, and (very spoiled) dogs.
